Building blocks for your Spanish conversation

Hola majos

In this post I will give you some useful tips to help you become more fluent in Spanish when building your sentences in Spanish. This is ideal for when you are having conversations in Spanish, after all, we don’t want to sound like robots 😉 So remember, keep these tips and the structure at the forefront of your mind when planning an interaction in Spanish, as this will help you immensely 🙂

My advice is that it’s always best to have in mind the connectors, fillers, pronouns, verbs, nouns…don’t worry so much about the grammar lingo though!

I strongly recommend you to learn the scaffolding for your conversations. They help as an anchor to start building sentences, giving you confidence and…REAL COMMUNICATION, YAY!

Online learning is the best!!

When I start a class I like to give a helping hand to my students, I write FUI and FUIMOS on the board as this helps them to start building their sentences about what they did, maybe at the weekend or last night etc

Ask yourself: when , how, who, what, how I’m feeling about it. Like you would in your mother tongue.

With this poster (cheatsheet or chuleta) you can learn visually (I learn best with visual aids myself!). These are some building blocks to keep in mind when you want to start planning or interacting IN SPANISH.

Vamos majos, MAKE IT REAL and FOCUS ON COMMUNICATION, NOT ON PERFECTION
